File Description
The Wii's motion sensitive controls allows the console solid basis for creating some interesting shooter titles on it. Homebrew developer Mindcry decided to capitalize on this fact and released a new homebrew game on it entitled "Barrage".
The game is actually a port of an old school Linux game designed by Michael Speck, which simulates some nice particle effects when blasting the various objects littered across the screen. The main objective is to blow away as many targets as possible within the 3 minute time limit.
Barrage for the Wii was a pretty faithful port of the original title, since the developer mentioned that game was directly compiled off the original source, with a few modifications made to the SDL library. However, the homebrew release lacks the middle mouse button firing function, as well as any sounds.
