While the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is only a few days away from hitting the stores (April 11), its PSP comrade appears to have been left behind enemy line. Almost a year ago today, EA and Digital Illusions CE announced that the title would be simultaneously released for both consoles. As far as we know, BF 2 for PSP has been rescheduled for Q2 2006. Based on the online multiplayer Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 2 takes gamers in the middle of a 21st century hell with a team of grunts who signed up for close-quarters combat. Players must survive the world's most dangerous military hot spots using laser-guided bombs, heat-seeking missiles, Abrams tanks, F-15 Strike Eagles, Wasp Class assault carriers and so much more.
