File Description
Developer Hellcat visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce the release of CFW Recovery Flasher.

According to the developer, this homebrew application will enable users to: recover semi-bricked PSPs, upgrade or downgrade to any custom firmware, and flash the PSP's CFW directly to 3.71-M33. Here are Hellcat's additional notes regarding the its functions:

* Flashes a fresh 3.71-M33 - for recovering semi-bricks or to upgrade/downgrade CFW
* does not use Pandora, runs from the recovery menu or the XMB
* does not use (as in launch) the original Sony Updater (only extracts
* all required files from the original .PBP)
* runs fine on CFWs lower than 3.52-M33-3 - handy for upgrading older FWs w/o the "need to go 3.52, then 3.52-3, then higher" odyssey :-)
* runs fine from TimeMachine (3.40-OE on Fat and 3.60-M33 on Slim)
* can backup the FW flash and restore selected parts (XMB theme, settings, PSN activation)

Hellcat further explained that 3.71 was chosen because it was the lowest possible CFW release that will work on both Fat and Slim PSPs. A fuller explanation of Recovery Flasher's functions are available in the readme included in the file bundle.

Those interested in making comments reporting bugs regarding this app will want to visit Hellcat's release thread at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum
