File Description
The PSPMSX: MSX Emulator for PSP v1.2.0 has recently been released by homebrew developer zx-81. This application emulates MSX, MSX2, and even MSX2+. This application has been ported on multiple platforms already including Windows and obviously the PSP.

This new version introduces a lot of improvements such as the addition of IR keyboard support, compatibility with firmware 3.x and the PSP Slim and Lite. It also sports new graphics and e-boot icons as well as a new render mode. Here are the other changes that the developer made to the program:

* Huge speed improvements, it runs now faster than 60 fps
* using only 222Mhz PSP clock frequency
* Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
* New speed limiter function
* Add option to display fps rate
* Add a simple intro splash screen
* Support iso8859-1 fonts in print text functions
* (might be useful to translate menus in German, French ...)
* Bug fix and code cleaning

This is a very solid release by zx-81 and one that should make old school gamers very happy. After all, the MSX was where Metal Gear, Puyo Puyo, and Bomberman first came out. Download the homebrew and try it out, just be sure to go over all the documentation included before doing anything to avoid any problems.
