File Description
LuaSlinger is a Lua workbench inside World of Warcraft. Use it to write Lua scripts to automate complex tasks, react automatically to certain events, or whatever else you can imagine doing with Lua and the WoW API. You can use it to test code for an Addon you're writing, or it's also made so you can just leave your scripts in it permanently. Some examples:

- Write and use sophisticated attack, heal, or bandage macros.
- Change your action bar automatically when you shapeshift, change
stances, or when your target enters or leaves mele range.
- Automatically swap weapons whenever you gain/lose stealth.
- Play a sound whenever you're attacked.
- Play a sound whenever a counterattack (like Overpower or Riposte) is available.
- Automatically say 'woot!' and dance when you level up.
- Automatically filter out Unavailable items at trainers.
- Rebind the 't' key to always attack (instead of toggling attack).
- Write a spam filter to clean up your chat window.
- Write a task scheduler (i.e. replace Chronos).
- Test code for an AddOn you're writing.

Examples of many of the above are included. Visit the LuaSlinger wiki for more ideas and to post any interesting scripts you make.

LuaSlinger has 40 script pages and a Library page on which to put common code. Breath easy, as each page has upwards of a 7000 character limit. You can execute each script:

- Immediately within LuaSlinger by pressing the Execute button.
- By typing /ls N at your chat prompt (where N is 1-40).
- By putting /ls N in a macro, and putting that macro on your action bar.
- By binding a key to that script via the game Key Bindings menu.
- Automatically, by entering a game event upon which to execute it.

I love LuaSlinger, hope you do too! Good luck and have fun!
