File Description
Homebrew developer Alekmaul recently released pokeyDS, an Atari 800XL Emulator for the Nintendo DS. Even just in its first release, pokeyDS can already run various Atari 800XL games with file types such as ATR, XFD, XEX, EXE, BIN, CAR, and ROM files. As an emulator of a machine made back in 1983, there should be plenty of games to play on Atari 800XL.
Alekmaul wants to remind everyone that it's necessary to use the DLDI patcher first before running the pokeyDS NDS file. Then, pokeyDS has to be placed in the root directory of your flash card, SD, or MMC. After that, put the Atari game files in any directory you want and you're good to go!
When pokeyDS boots up, you can simply search for the files you want to run. Alekmaul didn't include any games in the download, but he did write down precious instructions so don't forget to check out the Readme file before installation.
