Homebrew developer Jonathan A. Zdiarski (otherwise known as jonz) has released a new version of NES.app. NES.app is a emulator that lets you play games from the classic NES system on your iPhone.

Jonz has been pretty busy lately, adding great new features in a short amount of time. Releases have been coming in just a month away from each other; sometimes less.

Now on version 2.1.0, the program has several new features added, including support for firmware 1.2 (also known as firmware 2.0), which hasn't even been released yet. Here's the changelog:

* Many bugfixes, added build support for firmware 1.2/2.0

* Added XCode project for iPhoneOS (Beta 2 SDK) build
* Added bi-directional hot corners (up-left, up-right, etc)
o Press as if on the real controller - between both directions
* Added advanced option for number of sound buffers (default 5)
* Changed default palette from A to C (most accurate)
* Renamed plist files to use com.zdziarski instead of natetrue
