Lurking deep below the surface, a new game has now been revealed. Well, partially, at least. The water is still quite murky, but the developers of World Snooker Championship 2007 (for the PS3 and 360), Blade Interactive, have posted a curious entry on their main website.

Apparently, Hydrophobia has been a top secret R&D project that has been in development for years already. Now that the next-generation consoles have been out, the ongoing technological advancement has now been able to push this game into an "almost ready to be rolled out" status. Here's what Blade has to say:

"Hydrophobia is a game like no other, utilising Blade’s groundbreaking technology to deliver an experience which is set to redefine the boundaries of gaming. We’re not quite ready to raise the curtain fully on Hydrophobia just yet, but we promise you the wait will be more than worth it."

Curiouser and curiouser. What the hell is it? Will it play like an FPS/TPS? The whole underwater feel, as seen in the artwork, reminds us of like Bioshock. Could it be an RPG, action-adventure, or survival horror game? And much more, for what console will it come out on?

Here's to hoping this game surfaces with much more info very soon. For now, take a dip with some concept art for the game and download them from the link below.
