Digital Eel's PC and Mac game Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space has been exhibiting quirks since its release. But not to worry, the developers has just released the patch that should fix it. The latest patch is version 1.21, which updates patch version 1.2 released slightly earlier.

Version 1.21 fixes an error that slipped through in version 1.21. This is the one where the Primordius event was not working properly, with the wrong star name displayed. Those who installed the v1.2 patch should download and install the v1.21 patch.

After downloading the patch, run the executable and enter the location of your previous Weird Worlds installation to decompress the new files. This patch is for the PC version only. Mac players will have to wait a little longer to get their patch.

For those of you who don't have the vaguest idea what the the game is all about, read on. Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is a fast playing strategy game set in in a randomly generated universe of endless possibilities. It's an out-of-this-world adventure full of danger and surprises.

The gameplay involves exploring new worlds, meeting exotic aliens, discovering black holes, witnessing the deaths of stars, encountering drifting space hulks could either mean jackpot or death, and a lot more space adventures all within thirty minutes or less. It's that fast. And at US$ 24.95, you won't find a cheaper ticket to space.

But why read about it when you can download the demo. See why Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space bagged the Innovation in Audio award at the Seventh Annual Independent Games Festival. It was also nominated for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, the Audience Award and has been the darling of critics and fans alike.
