QJ Staff ******************************************************** Just as the developers of the Apple homebrew jailbreaker PwnageTool promised, the new version 1.1 was recently rolled out and featured several welcome changes to the program. DevTeam's latest build of the app automatically updates itself from the previous 1.0 version using PwnageTool's built-in updater.
Dubbed as the first "iPhone Firmware Tool", PwnageTool enjoys this title due to its release under the GPL license. Users who've enjoyed using this nifty app can expect to see its source code on the DevTeam's Google Code page some time soon.
Anyway, here's the list of changes and additions covered in PwnageTool 1.1:
*EDGE settings fix for iPhone 1.1.4 firmware *iPhone/iPod firmware 2.0 5A240d *Added custom package support *Added custom logo support *Added auto delete of BootNeuter.app
It was also mentioned that the release of the Windows version of PwnageTool will take a little longer than originally anticipated. Developer cmw is still working on an independent tool called "winpwn" based on the Mac-based PwnageTool.
In any case, make sure to get yourself updated by booting up your copy of PwnageTool and get the latest build of the app. You can also manually update it by downloading the file we've provided below.
