Old-school gamers will probably remember the saying "Information is Ammunition" from the old Battletech cartoon series. The saying is applicable in most MMORPGs today, including Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. NCsoft probably believed in that statement as well since it released the Allied Free Sentients (AFS) Field Guide in PDF form. This handbook of sorts is a relatively small 15 MB download but has enough information to help the MMORPG's players survive on missions.

Newer players will probably appreciate this booklet since it acts as a good introduction to the more important aspects of the game. Veteran players on the other hand may want to skip the first part and jump straight to the weapon descriptions, skill trees, or the Bane profiles.

While we can expect that hard core fans of Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa will probably print out a copy of this booklet, this blogger recommends that even casual players do the same. It provides some pretty good reading while you're away from the computer and should help gamers get more acquainted with the basic gameplay mechanics.
